To keep pace with evolving customer demands and the latest technological developments, Landal continually updates its e-commerce platform. This became especially important when their rapid international expansion and the decision to implement a new standardized system, saw their platform quickly became much larger and more complex. As more functionalities were added, the system became harder to test. Especially as there weren’t enough internal resources to conduct high-quality testing.

Testbirds executed diverse testing solutions, starting with a custom load and performance test. A substantial data load was generated to examine the performance of the platform during heavy data traffic peaks. Simultaneously, end-users tested the platform’s usability by going through several predetermined use case scenarios.

This led to more structured functional and usability testing with sprints that last two weeks – with a release of new functionalities every six weeks.

After two sprints, new software is deployed into the acceptance environment and Landal manages their testing of all changes. For a new release, Testbirds executes bug and usability tests, which follow a fixed set of user scenarios.
